Methodology

How the calculation works

Each package: hours = (individual setup + quantity × unit allowance) × complexity × input-data maturity × QA factor × review factor. Combined hours and budgets are sums of the package results; duplicated or shared engineering work is not automatically removed.

The output uses an indicative uncertainty range that widens as source information becomes less complete. Client approval scope, sign-off responsibility and licensed tools are treated separately.
